Magical Moonlight Walk Update

We completed the Magical Moonlight Walk on Friday night and thanks very much to those of you who supported and sponsored us either individually or as The Creativity Works team.

7 miles isn't a major distance, especially around Cambridge, but it was dark and there were 700 other walkers. With rain threatening overhead, we ambled along some of the hidden gems of footpaths into Cambridge.A route around the city centre then took us back on to the beautiful meadow land of Grantchester, subject of a song by Pink Floyd, through the grounds of The Orchard, favoured by poet Rupert Brooke and past Jeffrey and Mary Archer’s house (they were out), returning to the stately home finish of Anstey Hall.

Raising money for charity

So the hard facts; The  Creativity Works team managed to raise over £650 between us for Teenage Cancer Trust and Have a Heart, so a great result and hopefully a significant contribution to the event total which last year raised over £23,000. Our support with supply of print for sponsor forms, leaflets, certificates and more plus ‘hands on’ help with the goody bags assisted the cause and we've also got some great photos!

Chris was the official event photographer, with the rest of us clicking away as well.We have some great ones for the event to officially release and sell on behalf of the charity and they can be viewed via our event photo link on the home page of our website. Some others we’ve kept to ourselves but here are a few for your enjoyment….

Helen Bearfield-Smith, from Teenage Cancer Trust said, "It was fantastic to see familiar faces and meet new entrants, all of whom have helped to make the TCT unit at Addenbrookes a reality."
