Exhibition Showcase Event in
Rome
The Rome Marriott Park Hotel was the backdrop for an annual international event for our corporate client; a household name and global computer processor manufacturer. Their exhibition attracts companies from all over the world so the brief was complex.
We began by defining the project in detail, working closely with the client to agree on the theme and branding for the event.Then, once the graphics had been translated into digital, video and print formats, we created invitations, exhibitor documents and manuals. Crucially we also installed a ‘sign up’ facility on our client’s website to handle the logistics of over 60 individual exhibition stands and their 200 plus representatives.
Technical production began in the exhibition hall. Each stand, including individual feature stands, was designed and personalised with the exhibitor’s graphics but retained consistency with the overall event theme and branding. Power, sound, lighting, rigging, trucking, telecomms, broadband, audio visuals, set build, entertainment and all the associated health and safety considerations were then steadily put into place.
From chaos emerges harmony
It is the nature of the beast that exhibitors sign up, pull out and change their minds, so our event management team continually reviewed the build and technical requirements throughout; ever mindful of the fact that it all needed to fit in the back of three 16m trucks!
Right up to the last minute the exhibition hall layout continued to evolve. Then a day was lost from set up; as a previous event at the venue overran. We quickly increased the crew and worked round the clock to make up time. Our unflappable team have seen it all before so took it all in their stride.
