Design and Print of Exhibition Display Panels

Saffron Walden Museum comes under the control of Uttlesford District Council and represents some of our public sector commissions.

Exhibition Panels | Design & Print

Established in 1835, Saffron Walden Museum is one of the oldest museums in the country and is full of local artefacts, many of great historical value. It is therefore fitting that The Creativity Works itself has a long, established history in supplying design and print services for exhibition display panels to this wonderful treasure trove of a building.

So what do we do? A project always starts with a phone call saying ‘we have another special exhibition opening shortly and we need to produce some supporting exhibition display panels. Can you help with the design and print?’ The answer is, of course, always 'Yes'… the museum team are an absolute delight to work with!

A flurry of activities ensue with the museum finding all the documents, artefacts, and other supporting items that then need collating, editing, photographing, scanning and organising ready to illustrate comprehensive text and exhibition branding on the exhibition display panels. Intensive design supported by plenty of strong coffee (or thick, syrupy hot chocolate in the case of Chris our Creative Director!) as some long hours ensure the short and ever approaching deadline is met. Design and print proofs for checking, alterations, fine tuning, more proofs and then print and mounting of the finished artwork follow. The finished exhibition display panels are delivered ready for display and all is once again ready for the opening night exhibition preview to the great and good of Uttlesford District and the Saffron Walden Museum supporters, staff and sponsors.

OK, happy client, so on to the next project because I guess that one is now history!
